EVENT: The Wellness Pregnancy and a Healthy Newborn

a wellness pregnancy event

You may wonder why a pediatric clinic would host an event concerning a wellness pregnancy.  If you’ve been reading our monthly articles, you know that we are very concerned about the rise of chronic illnesses in children.  A healthy mother has a much better chance of giving birth to a healthy child.  Because of our toxic and hectic environment, the obstacles to a healthy adult—and consequently, a healthy baby—are greater now than they ever have been.

As an organization that is deeply concerned with kids’ health, it is part of our mission to help moms and dads responsibly plan for their families.  This helps nurture healthy families of the future—a goal to which we are dedicated.

The Elements of a Wellness Pregnancy

Did you know that more than 50% of pregnancies are not planned and most are discovered between the sixth and eighth week? This means you must analyze certain lifestyle choices and actions that you wouldn’t normally think twice about—unless you plan to start a family.

For example, even over-the-counter drugs can have a negative effect on a developing baby.  So if you plan to be a parent, there are a few things that would be helpful to know.

This workshop will go over a few key areas that help nurture a wellness pregnancy and a healthy newborn.

Join Us for Our Wellness Pregnancy Event

If you’re thinking of starting a family, you’ll find that this informative workshop addresses many of your questions and concerns.  Join Dr. Kelly Fredricks, DC for a full-spectrum look at what you can do to ensure a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Topics include:

  • pre-conception recommendations (medication alerts, nutrition dos and don’ts, exercise, and the importance of stress management)
  • making a smooth transition from pregnancy to + 1
  • the 5 Baby Bs for a healthy newborn (balance and boundary tips)
  • postpartum advice (how to take care of yourself, stay sane and work best with your partner)
  • which healthcare professionals you’ll need to choose for a healthy pregnancy and delivery
  • why chiropractic care is crucial to a wellness pregnancy (learn about the benefits of the Webster technique before labor) and why a newborn’s spine should be checked out (can you say, “comfortable baby = happy baby”?)

Dr. Kelly’s goal for the future as a Chiropractic Physician is to teach and empower people to be well, see their full health potential and live

She is also on a mission, not only to be trusted as the go-to family chiropractic physician in the area but also to give back, get involved and help the Central Florida community thrive.  Dr. Kelly wants her patients to enjoy coming in to her office – more like visiting with good friends rather than going to a doctor’s office.
