wendy bowdoin

Wendy’s love for babies and kids began at an early age. She grew up babysitting and was interested in health and nutrition, which led to her to nursing school and working with children.

Wendy serves in many roles at CIPC. Whether she is tending to patients in exam rooms, performing lab draws, answering phones or assisting with the Salt Room, Wendy loves meeting the needs of both parents and children.

“Working with children helps me feel closer to God because I’m helping to make them feel better.”

Wendy feels that anticipating her patients’ needs is a very important part of her work as the practice sees many children with special needs. Many have both physical and mental health challenges, which brings out her natural sense of compassion and patience, putting parents at ease and giving kids lots of TLC.

Wendy says her career is most rewarding when she hears a child say, “Thank you for making me feel better!”

A few things you might be surprised to learn about Wendy is that she can sing, she was once an Orlando Magic dancer finalist and is related to Andy Griffith. In her spare time, she likes to lift weights, bake and spend time with her family.
