dr klimis integrative pediatrician

Affectionately called “Wonder Woman” by her friends and patients, Dr. Klimis earned this nickname while joyfully balancing her roles as a full-time doctor, wife and mother of six kids.  She enjoys watching siblings and families grow and develop over time and helping them navigate through all their stages.

Dr. Klimis loves sharing special moments with her patient families and being a source of support and encouragement for children.  She is passionate about educating her patients about diet and exercise so that they know how to sustain a well-balanced lifestyle using a combination of conventional and integrative pediatrics.

“I think my seventeen years practicing outpatient pediatrics combined with being a mom of six children—seeing them through newborn to teen stages of life—has really helped me to understand pediatric medicine beyond the textbook and training. I also believe that the mind-spirit-body connection is crucial to great patient care.”

Dr. Klimis earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a Spanish minor at The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa and her MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She also studied at La Universidad de Alcala in Spain for a summer. She served a pediatric residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. An athlete at heart, she played NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball at the University of Alabama and is passionate about caring for the medical needs of athletes.

On days off, Dr. Klimis enjoys going to church with her family (her husband is a pastor), attending sporting events, spending time with family at the beach, exercising, crafting and trying new restaurants. She lives her life to serve Jesus and is grateful to have a career where she can help heal and experience the Lord’s healing hand daily. For advice, she turns to the Bible: “For I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
